Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of papers and awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous international and national awards. She has advised numerous government agencies and governments around all over the world on policy and research relating to the treatment of child victims by the legal system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division, American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
